Beginner Basics - This session will run you through the basics of maintaining your website including - loading pdfs, images, creating new pages and adding dates to your calendar. Suitable for users that have attended the initial Updat-ed training but need a refresher.  Running time: 45 minutes

Get More From Your Site - In this session we will run you through some of the more enhanced features of your website.  We'll look at widgets, embedding forms, uploading videos and a few tidbits that will help you with your website editing.  Running time: 45 minutes

Custom Graphics Using Canva - No previous experience with Canva needed.  We will walk you through how to create custom graphics for your website, including homepage gallery and recent news articles.  You need no design experience as canva is a simple tool that is free for schools.  Running time: 30 minutes

On 10 July, schools received an alert from their respective education departments regarding a global cyber campaign targeting vulnerable website content management systems (CMS).

We immediately reviewed the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) advice with our technical team and confirmed that websites managed by Updat-ed were not affected by the vulnerabilities identified in the alert.

The Updat-ed website platform is built using our own proprietary code, refined over 18 years of working exclusively with schools.

As part of our standard security practices, we continually monitor our hosting environment, apply security updates where required, and proactively review emerging threats to help keep your website secure.

We have also completed the readiness stage of the Safer Technologies for Schools (ST4S) assessment process and are currently awaiting nomination for a full assessment.

As we bemoan the arrival of the cooler months, it's actually a great time to take photos. When the sun's shining, grab the camera for some cracking shots. With the sun tracking lower in the sky, the colours become more saturated and more striking.

It's a great time to refresh those homepage gallery photos. 

Just remember to keep the sun behind you and watch out for your wonderful subjects squinting. And the best tip of all; if you want a photo to have greater impact, just get closer.

The image below was taken at 2pm (July last year). You can see the long shadows and the intensity of the colours. Taken on an iPhone 14 in panorama mode - and with no filters. Just a beautiful winter's day providing all the effects you'd ever need!
